Austin vs. Dallas vs. Houston
#1
I recently visited all three for the first time and am new to Texas.

Austin:

Ratio of men to women: D

I saw packs of dudes constantly. In the park barbequing. Riding those gay ass scooters. In bars. Walking around the night life. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 in a pack. I saw guys that were 1-2 points higher than girls giving the game of their life tap dancing for them. Guys everywhere running with their shirt off trying to get attention and get a good enough physique to attract women.

Women: C

So many girls had the looks or bodies of a high 6 low 7, then they had a kind of semi butterface that just made you go... Oh ok... Didn't see many cuties or knockouts. Just plain Janey faces... something was off. Lesbian Pat heaven though. Chicks know they can get sloppy here and not be an outcast. Reminded a little bit of Denver/Menver years ago. Some good looking black women around more often than I am used to as a side bonus.

Venues: A/A+

The venues are set up well. They are open air often, have dance floors, games, life music. Benches. Every fun shit you can imagine. If only the ratios were good.

City: B+

Interesting city, the river, the lake, the buildings and downtown core, little neighborhoods. Lots of growing pains though. Too many people packed into a city not buillt with the infrastructure for it.

Friendliness of People: B-/C+

You get the purple haired angry bitches, and the hipster metro semi gay guys you deal with and that general blase often.

Dallas:

Ratio of men to women: B

Seemed to see more women out and about. Hotter. Better put together. Didn't stay here over a weekend though so can't tell ratios in nightlife as well. Men around on weeknights in business tuck in button downs. More of a money guy look around than I am used to in California where that doesn't fly as well. Matched with some hot blondes that wanted to meet, I was leaving too soon though.

Women: B

Saw cute girls around enough, at the same time I wasn't wowed by knockouts or head turners. The Texas blonde stereotype lives here. Also some nice black chicks around.

Venues: C

Forgettable ok no big deal. Uptown, downtown both seemed small and a let down. Went to Spearmint Rhino one night, best venue there.

City: B

Nothing wow, just a good hearted city and peaceful. Mostly soulless though and somewhat cookie-cutter.

Friendliness of People: B+

Smaller city vibe family place. Not complicated, just simple and straight forward.

Houston:

Ratio of men to women: A

Saw women out and about often. Tables of 4 girls and 2 guys all the time. No venue with a good amount of people ever felt like a sausagefest. I was a little amazed and taken aback. I felt like I was abroad or something.

Women: A

Diverse girls, latinas, blacks, white, young, hot. The ratios on top of this made it really nice. The girls are amazingly approachable, nice, fun and understanding. No big egos, no resting bitch face that I noticed. These girls were at a point I almost started comparing them to foreign girls for their attitudes.

Venues: B+

Not as cool or as big or as many as Austin, they definitely had their own character and style though which I commend Houston for. If you could take Austin's venues and airlift them to Houston it would be fucking amazing.

City: B

Has some soul, and character. Nothing wows though. And the highways are twisting all over the place.

Friendliness of People: A+

Everyone, bartenders, girls, Uber drivers etc... seemed friendly and easy going. No one had any sort of ego or attitude. No mirrin' brahs, and resting bitch face girls like happens in SoCal ALL the time. So refreshing.

Austin if they could send half the guys off the space would be pretty great except for the underwhelming looks of the women's facial structure. Venues are awesome. All the neighborhoods give new places to go to. Dallas has some hot blondes and black chicks and seems like if you want an easy going family oriented cookie-cutter lifestyle it is there ready. Houston seems like they took some midwestern friendliness and down to earth nature, lack of ego etc. Me having roots from Chicago could relate to these people. The midwestern and southern attitudes are so nice to have rather than the coastal metropolitan attitudes or the rugged individualist plains and mountain west attitude. Such a better soul. People start talking to you almost like you a distant relative, rather than a stranger with a possibly unknown and unwanted agenda.

I liked Houston so much I may move there. The other two I would never visit again. Rather be in the ocean, or somewhere foreign and exotic.

Houston is at best a 50% white. There can be an advantage or disadvantage, depends on your perspective.

It has lots of good restaurants and bars, and is a good place to work with a low cost of living.

But the whole city is kind of ugly in concrete. It’s also prone to periodic flooding and very humid.

Dallas in comparison is more white and conservative, and Austin is smaller and more hipster.

Austin is basically a Californian colony at this point, with a lot of hipster girls or girls that have inflated sense of self worth due to the sheer number of chode men present in the Greater Austin area. A redeeming factor is that 6th street makes it a mini New Orleans. Why are PUAs so big on it? No clue. But I see videos of infields there. But as another poster said it is a cramped city with horrible traffic/logistics. Although Austin is pretty white compared to the other two.

Houston is extremely diverse, but I get the vibe that women are more approachable there. Houston is the most diverse city in the country. That's why there are so many groups present: blacks, FOB Asians, Russians even, and Latinos.

Dallas is more white than Houston, and more of a city that runs on perception, perceived wealth/ social status, and people are more rigid and less open. In its own way, Dallas has its fair share of chodes. Nightlife, especially nightclubs are nothing special at all. I would describe many of the women as Basic bitches with an upscale spin.

All three cities are currently experiencing some of the fastest growth in the county.

Diversity is good for my perspective, good to mix it up, and easier in my experience to date younger Latinas or black girls into white guys. White girls also by far have the worst attitudes on average. I didn't even know Russians were a thing there, thats a big bonus as well.

L.A., Queens/Brooklyn, Phoenix, Denver are all way more ugly concrete jungle compared to the massive greenery of Houston.

Yeah mate definitely as long as the ratios are ok, it's not a problem at all. And if you are open-minded, you knows what exotic chick you'll end up with.

Yes, there are a lot of Russian speakers there, as well as a Russian consulate there, one of only 3 or 4 in the US:

Quote:Our mission is twofold: to broaden the cultural and social ties of the 70,000+ Russian speaking citizens of our community with the diverse community of the Greater Houston area

I was gaming in Houston recently (nightgame), women were very approachable and not bitchy at all compared to Dallas.

Since you're from SoCal, what is your opinion on Vegas and it's quality of venues, local girls looks attitudes & friendliness, vibe of the place (as sterile and dull as Dallas?), and life there as a local (cost of living, friendliness of the locals and the vibe & attitude of the people in general, ratios in a nightlife & clubs, looks of the average women and public, safety or lack thereof in he suburban residential areas, etc.)?

Clubs are great. Last time I was in Vegas was 2015, haven't gone to a Vegas club since 2011.

Venues: A/A+

Local Girls: Don't know, haven't spent enough time. Heard though you get lots of stripper girls, cocktail waitresses, restaurant, and hotel worker girls. Many can be less educated or pedigreed, but many times just good looking girls without college degrees that want good tips. I have heard because of the hospitality and gambling industries it is not a place with more weight put on intellectualism.

Locals: Don't know the attitude, haven't heard anything bad about Vegas Locals in general. Seem like easy going people that want a cheaper COL with hot weather and the allure of Vegas events. I've have a few family friends transplants to Vegas now locals, seems to draw the laid back looking to have a good time type. Both are in their 50s, not married, no kids, and love drugs (one mostly pot, the other psycadelics, both drink a lot).

City Vibe: Uh way less sterile or dull as Dallas. It's Vegas still even if you are local in a tucked away neighborhood. There are always new events, venues, or things opening on the strip on top of a locals hipster/art/alt scene in their local downtown. Maybe a bit sterile because there is the desert feel. No greenery. Feels a bit like being on Mars with these bizarre decorated casino towers sticking out of the valley. It is a strange place. I think it takes a certain type person to live there. I think most people in America would feel more at home in a place like Dallas to settle down. I feel like Vegas would be interesting to live in for one year.

Safety: Seems safe, lots of DUIs though and running red lights I heard from all the drunks off the strip. Probably in local Vegas neighbors it never affects you.

I visited Austin and San Antonio last time I was in TX. Austin is a bit too much like CA for my taste.

I plan to hit up Dallas on the next go around.

Interesting that the OP likes Houston so much. I haven't been there in years. I've traveled trough Dallas recently and the people look pretty good, better than many US airports. Austin is long past its peak and is a traffic hell like many other large cities.

Just wanted to chime in here... I've been to all 4 big Texas cities and I live in Dallas.

Houston is a great city. A sleeper pick. Demographically, it's perfect for me with it's high level of diversity, particularly Mexicans and asians. It's my favorite Texas city by a large margin. It's up there as a potential relocation spot for next year. I was more motivated to run game in Houston that most places I've been, maybe because the bar scene seemed set up for it and the people were pretty open. It's probably the most East Coast of the Texas cities and there's a little bit of a Midwest and Southern vibe as well, it works. The overall environment was more culturally interesting and less generic than Dallas. Great food scene. I'm probably visiting again sometime soon. Downsides of Houston include the shitty urban planning and the obvious potential for flooding. Other than that, it's a pretty great deal. Affordable and the climate is more tropical and warm year round than Dallas. Girls definitely have better attitudes than Dallas. Every guy I've met from Houston has been pretty friendly and easy to deal with. Dallas guys can be very chody and overly serious. I don't understand why people are so serious in Dallas...

Shoot me a message when you get here.
After talking to a young lady for a while, she told me “Even though your skin is black, I can tell your heart is white.”
