You can get a good pair of airpod-type earphones for $40-50. Yeah, you need to charge them. But the pros outweigh the cons by far, especially when you're lifting weights, doing dishes, taking a shit. Great for audiobooks

Having to charge them is a huge con. The less gizmos to run flat and recharge the better.

The biggest pro of wired headphones, apart from just plugging them in and having them always work with no BS pairing or compression, is that they're well visible and deter idiots from trying to chew your ear off.

Fair enough. If you're a big dude with long hair I could see that being an issue. Just upgraded to an iphone 8 recently and it doesn't even have a headphone jack anymore. Go figure

The wire can definitely get in the way, if that's what you mean. The wireless earbuds it's like they're not even there.

I notice that after surpassing a 750 post count my forum rank went from "Senior member" to "Posting Freak."

I am feeling slighted, rather than appreciated.   Sad

Also, ambiguous feelings regarding whether such a rank is better than a "bird" rank?

Keep posting guys in order that I am NOT the only "freak" contained herein.

Fair enough.   Maybe this particular default label of "Posting Freak" happens to be sufficiently deliberate in its slighting (though is it worse than a bird rank?) that forum admins are attempting to inspire such self-direction to change the default through insult(s) - even if the title could have some truth in it?

I don't really take the matter too seriously, even though noticing such rank change did cause me to wonder about the forum admin choices in this direction... ... so maybe with my post about the topic, I am attempting to counter-troll forum admins, whoever might be so brave as to speak up and take responsibility in connection with this topic.....  Tongue

If the trend continues we will start surpassing RVF within a week or two in terms of overall traffic.

Thats great to see the forum getting more popular, even if its only gradual.

Props to Rottenapple in particular for really making the effort both moderating things and making lots of interesting threads - hes a large part of why its growing.

I have Jabra ones and I've never had one fall out.

This style seems like it would never fall out, kind of expensive though.

That's great news and hopefully a continuing trend. I still feel we can do a lot better, but it needs time I'm sure. RVF wasn't build in a short time either.
